Why is an old or incorrect message appearing when I sign a card?

Your signer name defaults to whatever was used in your signature line the last time you signed a card. If this is happening, it's likely that this message/name was written in the name field, which is why it is populating. 


To change your default signature, you need to sign a card and enter just your preferred name in the name field. Then the next time you sign, it will default to your preferred name.
